The Consell de Mallorca has launched a new edition of its free guided heritage visits program, which will take place between March and June 2026 across various municipalities on the island. This cultural initiative aims to bring Mallorca’s historical and ethnological heritage closer to the public by offering accessible and educational guided tours.
This year’s program expands its scope with the inclusion of two new sites linked to the island’s milling heritage in Manacor, complementing an already diverse selection of locations. These additions enrich the overall experience by highlighting traditional production systems and their role in shaping the local landscape and economy.

The program begins on March 21 with a visit to the Son Torrella oil mill in Santa Maria del Camí, a key site for understanding Mallorca’s olive oil production traditions. Subsequent visits will explore other significant heritage locations, including the Bellpuig complex in Artà, the Hort d’en Copido waterwheel in Alcúdia, and the hydraulic mills of the Galatzó public estate in Calvià.
The initiative also places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, targeting both educational institutions and senior associations to encourage participation from different generations. This approach promotes a deeper connection with the island’s cultural identity and historical legacy.
Although participation is free of charge, prior registration is required due to limited capacity. The program stands as a strategic effort to enhance heritage awareness, support cultural dissemination, and strengthen public engagement with Mallorca’s historical assets.
