Mallorca has introduced the first edition of the Premis Joves Talents, an initiative designed to promote and showcase the creative potential of young people across the island by recognizing artistic projects in multiple disciplines. These awards aim to provide emerging creators with opportunities to express their perspectives and contribute to the cultural landscape through contemporary artistic practices.
The initiative was presented by the Minister of Presidency, Toni Fuster, alongside the Director of Youth and Participation, Carmen Ripoll. This inaugural edition incorporates a thematic focus on emotional well-being, highlighting the role of art as a medium for reflection and expression related to mental health. The presentation also featured artist Josep Cabot, whose work reflects this theme from a personal and creative standpoint.

The awards are open to residents of Mallorca aged between 18 and 30 and include six categories: graphic design, painting, photography, audiovisual creation, short story writing, and fashion design. This multidisciplinary approach encourages participation from a wide range of creative profiles within the youth community.
With a total prize fund of €10,500, the initiative reinforces its commitment to supporting emerging talent and fostering artistic development. Applications will be open from March 20 to April 3, allowing participants to submit their projects in their chosen category.
Entries will be assessed by a specialized jury based on criteria such as artistic quality, originality, creativity, and expressive capacity. The selected projects will be announced during the Premis Joves Talents 2026 Gala, an event that will serve as a platform to highlight young talent and strengthen Mallorca’s cultural ecosystem.
