The Governing Council has approved the updated Workforce Plan (RPT) for public teaching staff for 2026 in the Balearic Islands. This update is designed to align staffing structures with the actual number of positions available as of December 31, 2025, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current administrative requirements.
The revised framework supports key educational processes, including staff allocation procedures, transfer competitions, and future public employment offers. By doing so, it enhances workforce planning and strengthens institutional efficiency across the education system.

The Governing Council approves the new Teaching Staff Workforce Plan for 2026
The new RPT introduces a substantial number of positions distributed by municipality and subject area, with a particular focus on disciplines where shortages remain a priority concern. This targeted reinforcement aims to improve educational delivery in areas that require additional support.
In addition, the updated plan contributes to a more balanced distribution of teaching staff across all islands—Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera—ensuring that each region receives adequate human resources tailored to its specific needs.
Through this approval, the Government of the Balearic Islands reaffirms its commitment to a modern, efficient, and inclusive education system, strengthening teaching staff structures and ensuring that all schools are equipped to provide high-quality education.
