The Mallorca Council has completed the expansion of the Inca Fire Station as part of its broader strategy to modernize emergency services across the island. The project aims to optimize working spaces, improve resource organization, and strengthen safety conditions for operational staff.
The new facilities, completed at the end of March, are located on the ground floor and consist of a modular structure made up of seven assembled units, creating a functional building with a total surface area of 130 square meters. Inside, the space includes two dedicated changing areas and a gym designed to support the physical readiness of firefighters. An external walkway connects the new structure with the existing building, improving internal circulation and daily usability.

Inca Fire Station expands its facilities to enhance operational capacity and safety
The extension is situated on the paved area between the main building and the training tower, along the MA-13A road. The construction system, based on prefabricated modules, allowed for a fast and efficient installation process while maintaining high standards of quality, comfort, and functionality. The design incorporates sustainability criteria, using low-impact materials and technical solutions that ensure strong thermal and acoustic performance, as well as resilience to adverse weather conditions.
This development is part of a wider investment plan led by the Mallorca Council throughout 2026 to strengthen emergency services. Key measures include the renewal of an aging vehicle fleet, with the introduction of new units adapted to different types of emergency response.
Additionally, significant funding has been allocated for the construction of a new fire station in Santanyí, which will improve territorial coverage and reduce response times in emergencies. The facility will include a permanent crew and specialized vehicles.
The plan also предусматриes the acquisition of advanced technical equipment for complex emergency scenarios and the renewal of operational gear, further enhancing safety, efficiency, and working conditions for all personnel within the service.
