The City Council of Inca has officially announced a new edition of Dijous Gros 2026, the city’s traditional spring fair scheduled for May 7. The event is set to reaffirm its status as a key date in the local calendar, offering a comprehensive program designed for all audiences.

Inca unveils Dijous Gros 2026 with strong focus on local commerce and a diverse public program
A major highlight this year is the launch of the “+ Local + Nostre + Dijous Gros” campaign, aimed at boosting local retail activity. More than 60 businesses will take part, offering special promotions throughout the week and direct gifts for purchases exceeding 20 euros, thereby reinforcing the value of proximity commerce.
The program also includes established initiatives such as the “Botiga al Carrer” street market, training workshops, children’s activities and live performances. Notable highlights include the participation of the Chamber Orchestra of Mallorca and a concert by the Municipal Conservatory, along with dance showcases and performing arts events.
In the sports field, the second edition of the Dijous Gros School Mile will promote physical activity among younger participants in a festive environment. Gastronomy will also play a central role, with the traditional Popular Bean Lunch bringing together hundreds of attendees in a well-established community event.
Mayor Virgilio Moreno emphasized that Dijous Gros reflects the city’s vibrant and open character, highlighting the importance of local commerce as a key economic pillar.
