The 2026 mobile vehicle inspection campaign in Mallorca is strengthening its role as a key public service by bringing technical inspections closer to residents, particularly in rural areas. Since its launch in February, nearly 400 tractors and more than 1,200 motorcycles and mopeds have already been inspected, with the service now expanding to 22 additional municipalities.
The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, visited one of the inspection sites in Santanyí, highlighting the importance of this mobile service in improving accessibility and enhancing road safety. During the visit, technicians carried out inspections of agricultural vehicles as part of the scheduled campaign.
This year’s program is expected to offer around 10,000 appointments for motorcycles and 1,000 for agricultural vehicles, representing a significant increase compared to the previous year. Motorcycle inspections are projected to rise sharply, while tractor inspections aim to match or exceed last year’s figures.

The service operates over 328 days, with two mobile units covering more than 40 towns and rural areas. This approach reduces the need for long-distance travel and ensures that residents in less accessible areas can comply with vehicle inspection requirements more easily.
A key feature of this year’s campaign is the inclusion of 22 municipalities receiving the service for the first time, significantly improving territorial coverage. Additional inspection days will also be scheduled in high-demand areas such as Manacor to further enhance service availability.
At the same time, fixed inspection stations in Palma and Inca will be reinforced, particularly for two-wheeled vehicles, creating a complementary system between mobile and permanent facilities. This combined strategy optimizes resources and increases overall efficiency.
Beyond administrative convenience, the campaign plays an important role in road safety by ensuring that tractors, motorcycles, and mopeds meet technical standards. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to public service improvement and safer mobility across the island.
