The Department of Education and Universities will hold the “Choose Your Future, Choose VET” fair on 29 and 30 May, an initiative designed to bring Vocational Education and Training closer to students, families and anyone interested in learning about the academic and professional opportunities available in the Balearic Islands. The event will take place at the Department’s headquarters and will be open to the public free of charge, with no prior registration required.
The aim of the fair is to provide clear, practical and accessible information about the different vocational training pathways, helping young people and their families make informed decisions at a key stage in their educational journey. Throughout the two-day event, visitors will be able to explore the wide range of training programmes available, learn about admission requirements and discover the academic and career opportunities linked to each course.

The fair will feature stands representing all professional sectors, creating an open, visual and interactive environment where teachers, students and former students will share first-hand experiences and explain how Vocational Education and Training can become a valuable pathway connected to today’s labour market needs. Talks and presentations will also address the role of VET in the business sector, the evolution of vocational education and the importance of overcoming stereotypes associated with these studies.
One of the key areas of the event will be the Academic and Professional Guidance Service, where students and families will receive personalised advice and support. Demonstrations, digital resources and informative materials will also be available, allowing visitors to gain a dynamic and practical understanding of the opportunities offered by Vocational Education and Training in the Balearic Islands.
With this initiative, the Department of Education and Universities reinforces its commitment to promoting a modern, flexible and people-focused vocational training system, closely linked to the needs of society and the labour market while supporting employability and professional development among young people.
