The Government of the Balearic Islands will reinforce public transport services on 2, 3 and 4 June to coincide with the university entrance examinations (PAU), with the aim of facilitating student travel to examination centres and ensuring smoother and more punctual mobility. The initiative will be coordinated through Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) and the Consorci de Transports de Mallorca (CTM), which will activate a special reinforcement plan across the metro, train and interurban TIB bus network.
The main measure will be the reinforcement of metro services to the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where most of the examinations will take place. The Government is encouraging students to use the metro whenever possible in order to avoid traffic congestion on roads leading to the university campus and to ensure timely arrival at the exams.

PAU in Mallorca with special metro services to the UIB
The special plan organised by SFM includes additional early morning metro departures from Intermodal Station to the UIB. Alongside the regular weekday timetable, extra services will operate on Tuesday 2 June at 7.05 am and 7.50 am. On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 June, additional departures will run at 7.05 am, 7.50 am and 8.05 am.
These reinforcements complement the improvements introduced to the regular metro service in March last year, when frequencies during morning peak hours between 7.15 am and 8.55 am were significantly increased to respond to growing passenger demand.
In addition to metro access and TIB bus lines 202 and 203 to the UIB campus, the special transport operation will also facilitate travel to other examination venues located in Inca, Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar through Mallorca’s interurban train and bus network.
Examinations in Inca will take place at Fábrica Ramis, while Manacor students will attend exams at IES Manacor and Sant Llorenç candidates at Espai 36. The Consorci de Transports de Mallorca has also announced that bus services with higher student demand may be reinforced during both morning and afternoon peak periods, coinciding with the start and end of examination sessions.
Through this special mobility plan, the Balearic Government aims to guarantee efficient and reliable transport during one of the most important academic events of the year, offering students practical, fast and accessible public transport alternatives throughout the PAU examination period.
