Health Department Recognises the Commitment and Excellence of Balearic Healthcare Professionals at the 2026 Health Gala

The gala also emphasised the essential role played by healthcare professionals in ensuring high-quality services and the long-term sustainability of the healthcare system. Their dedication, expertise and commitment to public service were recognised as fundamental elements in building a more compassionate and patient-focused model of care.

Awards were presented across seven categories representing the diversity and scope of the Balearic healthcare sector. The recognised initiatives included projects related to humanised care, mental health, health promotion, disease prevention, research, clinical excellence and the contribution of organisations involved in public health awareness and education.

The category dedicated to excellence and best practices received the highest number of awards, recognising initiatives aimed at improving quality, safety and innovation in healthcare delivery. At the same time, the research projects honoured during the ceremony demonstrated the region’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge and developing new solutions to improve treatments and patient outcomes.
