The Ibiza Island Council has hosted a blood donation campaign aimed at encouraging public participation and supporting the maintenance of essential blood supplies for healthcare services. The initiative brought together both employees of the island institution and members of the public, highlighting a shared commitment to an act of solidarity that plays a vital role in the healthcare system.
Organised through the Department of Social Welfare, Family and Equality and held in connection with World Blood Donor Day, which is commemorated on 14 June, the campaign took place throughout the morning and attracted significant participation. Nearly forty people joined the initiative, demonstrating the importance of public awareness and community involvement in ensuring a stable and reliable blood supply.
