The second edition of the “Childcare Voucher” programme will be supported by a budget of €1.25 million aimed at further promoting measures that help families in the Balearic Islands balance their personal, professional and family responsibilities throughout 2026. The new call for applications builds on the initiatives launched during the first edition and expands support for expenses related to childcare.

Among the main new features are additional measures designed to address different family needs, including childcare services during school holiday periods and financial assistance for complementary care services. These actions are intended to provide broader support and adapt to the diverse circumstances faced by families.

For the first time, the programme will also cover expenses linked to summer camps and other seasonal activities, extending the scope of the initiative and offering new options to working families. The scheme aims to facilitate the compatibility between professional commitments and caregiving responsibilities, while promoting equal opportunities and supporting career development.

The programme also maintains its commitment to encouraging fair employment conditions for domestic workers involved in childcare and reinforces family support policies as an essential tool for improving social well-being and promoting a better work-life balance across the islands.
