Son Espases University Hospital has reinforced its Allergy Department with the appointment of Dr. Dorkas Márquez, expanding its specialist team to improve patient access to allergy care across the Balearic Islands. The new addition represents another step in the continued development of a service designed to provide high-quality and equitable healthcare throughout the archipelago.

The department now consists of four consultant allergists together with a paediatrician who has advanced training in allergy medicine. This strengthened team increases clinical capacity and enables a broader range of specialist consultations for patients.

Based at Son Espases University Hospital, the specialists combine their regular clinical activity in Mallorca with scheduled visits to Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. This organisational model brings specialist healthcare closer to residents of every island while helping to reduce geographical disparities in access to allergy services.
