The Health Service will reinforce the SAMU 061 emergency medical response system this Sunday for the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, which is scheduled to begin at 9:00 pm.

The special operation will increase healthcare resources available in the Palma area during Sunday afternoon and evening, strengthening the emergency response capacity during the football final.

SAMU 061 will deploy three additional ambulances: two Basic Life Support (BLS) units and one nurse-led Advanced Life Support ambulance. Staffing at the Coordination Centre will also be reinforced with an additional doctor and telephone operator.

These additional resources will complement the regular SAMU 061 emergency services deployed daily throughout the summer months, reinforcing the healthcare response available to deal with potential emergencies.
