The travelling exhibition «De claror i de cor», dedicated to the life and work of Blai Bonet, will tour Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera from 17 August to 20 December 2026 as part of the celebrations marking the centenary of the birth of the poet from Santanyí. Promoted by the Institute of Balearic Studies, the initiative will bring Bonet’s literary and cultural legacy to cultural centres and libraries across the islands.
The exhibition explores Blai Bonet’s personal and creative journey through graphic material and a selection of texts by the author, providing a broad perspective on one of the notable figures of contemporary Catalan literature. The project is organised in collaboration with the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes and the Fundació Mallorca Literària.
The tour will begin in Menorca, where the exhibition will remain throughout August, September and part of October. Its first venue will be the headquarters of the Menorcan Institute of Studies in Maó, from 17 to 30 August. It will then move to the Public Library of Maó, from 31 August to 13 September.

The Institute of Balearic Studies Presents the Travelling Exhibition «De claror i de cor» on Blai Bonet
The exhibition will continue at the Sant Lluís Municipal Public Library, where it will be on display from 14 to 27 September. The Menorca stage will conclude at the Catalan Centre in Ciutadella, from 28 September to 11 October.
Following its Menorca tour, «De claror i de cor» will travel to Ibiza. The first venue will be the Sant Antoni de Portmany Municipal Library, which will host the exhibition from 19 October to 1 November. It will then move to the Ibiza Municipal Library at Can Ventosa, where it will be open to the public from 2 to 15 November. Its final stop on the island will be the Catalan Centre in Ibiza, from 16 to 29 November.
The travelling exhibition will conclude in Formentera, where the Marià Villangómez Library will host it from 7 to 20 December, bringing several months of activities dedicated to promoting Blai Bonet’s life and literary heritage to a close.
Through this initiative, the Institute of Balearic Studies aims to pay tribute to Blai Bonet during the centenary year of his birth and make his work accessible to audiences across different islands. The exhibition highlights the diverse and vitalist character of the poet’s work while contributing to the preservation and dissemination of his artistic and cultural legacy.
Director General for Culture Llorenç Perelló has highlighted the significance of dedicating this new travelling exhibition to Blai Bonet following the previous exhibition devoted to Josep Maria Llompart, recognising both poets for their distinguished careers and their important contribution to the literary heritage of the Balearic Islands.
