The Consell de Mallorca and representatives from 45 municipalities met to finalise preparations for the 45th edition of the Pujada a Lluc a peu de la Part Forana, which will take place during the night of 12 to 13 September. More than 5,000 people are expected to participate in this year’s march.

The meeting was held at the Escolanía de Lluc and was attended by the Island Director for Strategic Projects and Institutional Relations, Maria Elena Jaume. Participants discussed the final organisational details for an event that brings together thousands of people every summer.

Safety was one of the main issues addressed during the meeting. Municipal representatives reviewed the routes that participants will follow from each town, the emergency plans and the number of registrations received so far.

Pujada a Lluc a peu de la Part Forana prepares its 45th edition with more than 5,000 participants expected

The meeting continued the planning work carried out over recent weeks, during which several online meetings had already been held to coordinate the Pujada a Lluc a peu de la Part Forana.

The caps de poble, who are responsible for the march in each municipality, were able to clarify their questions and collect safety material for participants, as well as posters relating to the Pujada a Lluc.

Representatives from the 45 municipalities thanked the Consell de Mallorca for its support in organising the new edition and expressed their willingness to collaborate to help make the march a success.

Maria Elena Jaume stated that “the Pujada a Lluc a peu de la Part Forana is a tradition that brings generations together and is a true symbol of Mallorcan identity. It has an incalculable value for our culture and, for this reason, the Consell de Mallorca is committed to collaborating every year to make it a reality.”

The coordination meeting concluded with a fellowship lunch.
