The meetings pending this afternoon between the Government of the Balearic Islands and the Mesa de Diálogo Social (Social Dialogue Table) will be attended by representatives of the local councils and island councils of the different islands. The idea is to propose and agree on a package of restrictive measures to try to curb contagion.
It remains to be seen what will be agreed at these different meetings with the maximum representation of the social agents.

Government spokesman Iago Negueruela at the press conference after the governing council. “There has always been a forecast regarding the current situation, the floating population is similar to that of 2019, which produces situations that have increased hospital admissions,” but he relates it to the increase in population in our islands.
There is more activity and there are more possibilities for admissions. He says that “the government will act forcefully in the face of excesses, control of the areas where contagions occur and control of safe economic activities”. Proposals will be made, the social agreements will be sought, and they will have to be approved by the governing council.
