Yesterday Saturday Formentera celebrated the Institutional Act of its Diada and the presentation of the Gold Medal of Formentera to the professional group of journalists of Formentera. Generations of residents in Formentera have seen the evolution of the media on the island. Stories told by their reporters and that brings them closer to the reality of the island.

The Consell recalled that this year the three Sant Jaume awards have gone to the Associació Reis Mags de Formentera, for his commitment to the organization of the parade, the Fonda Pepe, emblematic meeting point on the island, and Teixits J. Marí Serra, for the long career of this legendary establishment.
The Faro de Sa Mola lighthouse was the chosen setting for this Diada, which also featured the presentation of the Sant Jaume Awards and the posthumous awarding of the title of Adopted Daughter to the ceramist Remedios Castillo Cañas. All of this took place in the context of a magical night, full of joy and tradition, and not even the full moon was missing.
