Llosetí José Antonio Pérez Montiel, Doctor in Economics at the UIB, obtained the qualification of excellent, Cum Laude in his doctoral thesis.
Cum Laude, with full honours, is a Latin locution used to indicate levels of academic achievement with which a top university degree, usually a doctorate, has been obtained.
In Spain, the Cum Laude mention is only applicable to doctors who achieve the score of outstanding (10/10), and is only awarded by unanimous vote of the examining board by means of an individual secret ballot regulated by RD 534/2013.
