The Fundació Mallorca Literària celebrates World Poetry Day on 21st March with a triple commemoration: the centenary of the death of the poet Miquel Costa i Llobera, the centenary of the birth of Gabriel Ferrater and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of Blai Bonet. This is an action developed within the framework of the Poetaeca project, with the start of three activities to be carried out in 2022.

World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March, with the aim of supporting linguistic diversity and giving endangered languages the opportunity to be a vehicle for artistic communication in their respective communities.
It has been celebrated since 2001 as a tribute to the poetic word. The aim of this initiative is to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression and to be a vehicle of artistic communication, in their respective communities, for threatened or endangered languages.
