The Directorate-General for Health Research, Training and Accreditation of the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs has awarded level III health accreditation to the Hospital Comarcal de Inca for a period of four years. The Raiguer centre thus joins Hospital Universitario Son Espases and Hospital Universitario Son Llàtzer, the two hospitals with this level of accreditation in the Balearic Islands.
Level III is the highest health distinction awarded by the Government of the Balearic Islands to those centres that achieve the highest possible level in the quality standards and indicators established by the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, such as the degree of patient and family satisfaction, accessibility to the hospital’s health services, management of resources, etc.
In order to obtain level III, it is necessary to meet 100% of the mandatory standards and more than 75% of the recommended standards. Following the evaluation carried out by the Autonomous Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Centres, the Hospital Comarcal de Inca meets 100% of the mandatory standards and 89% of the recommendable standards.
Level III accreditation means, on the one hand, that the Hospital Comarcal de Inca has a methodology for meeting quality standards and, on the other, a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
