By degree, a total of 8,550 places are available for Medicine, 1,961 for Nursing, 308 for Pharmacy, 231 for Psychology, 60 for Biology, 42 for Physics and 19 for Chemistry.

The entrance exams for the different degrees will take place on 21 January 2023, following the usual timetable for the exams. The initial estimate is that the start of the awarding ceremonies will commence in April and the students will take up their places at the end of May next year.

The deadline for submitting applications is from 10:00 on 5 September until 14:00 on 19 September 2022.

The main new features of the test are a consequence of the application of the provisions of Royal Decree 589/2022, of 19 July, which regulates the transversal training of specialities in Health Sciences, the procedure and criteria for the proposal of a new title of specialist in Health Sciences or diploma of specific training area, and the revision of those established, and the access and training of the areas of specific training; and establishes the rules applicable to the annual tests for access to training places in specialities in Health Sciences.

The electronic procedure will be maintained at all stages, from the submission of applications to the lodging of claims/appeals and for electronic adjudication.

The quota for foreigners will be 1% in Pharmacy and Nursing degrees and 6% in Medicine, which may be increased to 10% in the event of vacancies. Likewise, 7% of places will be reserved for people with a disability of over 33%. Thus, 782 places will be available in this call for applications.

In this call for applications, the prior approval of private centres is eliminated, the cut-off mark is set at 25% of the average of the 10% of the best exam scores and accounts for 90% of the final score. The lists throughout the procedure will only be accessible to the persons involved in the procedure, subject to electronic identification.

The call includes the possibility of an extraordinary call, in all degrees, to those candidates who, having passed the exams, have not been awarded a place in the ordinary call for any reason, increasing the quota of non-EU citizens in the degree of Medicine to 10% of the places offered.
