The book La dinamització lingüística: bases, eines i estratègies has been presented this Wednesday evening at Can Oleo, in Palma, in an event attended by Isidor Marí, philologist and member of the IEC, and Beatriu Defior, Director General of Linguistic Policy of the Government of the Balearic Islands.

The work was coordinated by Xisca Castell and Maria del Mar Vanrell, lecturers in Catalan Philology at the UIB and members of the Balearic Islands Sociolinguistic Research Group (GRESIB). The publication, which has been carried out by the UIB with the support of the DGPL, can also be found in digital format on the website dgpoling.caib.cat.
The origin of this volume is to be found in the University of the Balearic Islands’ own degree course in Linguistic Dynamisation, promoted by the DGPL and taught since the 2019-2020 academic year.
The book, which contains contributions from leading experts in the field, proposes bases, tools and strategies aimed at facilitating the task of language promotion and is aimed, above all, at professionals involved in language promotion, but also at other professionals involved in language consultancy, education or teaching.
