The Inca Town Council has once again approved the subsidy for local non-professional federated sportsmen and women and will allocate 15,000 euros. With this aid, the council wants to continue giving economic and logistical support to people who are dedicated to competitive sports, helping them with the expenses generated by the practice of sporting activity. For example, travel, food and accommodation costs are subsidised for participation in official competitions, among other costs.

“One of our main objectives is to promote local sporting talent. That is why it is essential to help our city’s sportsmen and women who are not professionals to finance their sporting activity,” says the councillor for sports, Antoni Peña.
Thus, year after year, the capital of El Riuiguer approves this subsidy with the aim of financing projects whose purpose is the participation of local non-professional sportsmen and women in official competitions outside Mallorca.
You can apply for financial aid through the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Inca until 30 November 2022. If the requirements are met, the aid will be granted according to different concepts. However, the total amount granted may not exceed 600 euros per application.
“With these grants, we want to show our support for the sportsmen and sportswomen who, although they are not professionals, contribute to setting the bar for sport in our city very high. We will continue working to support and promote grassroots sport” explains the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.
