On the occasion of this trip, the general director of Vocational Training and Permanent Teacher Training, Rafel Maura, has visited the Centro Integral de Formación Profesional (CIFP) Juníper Serra de Palma to support and encourage the student Elsa Delgado, who will participate in the Euroskills 2023 in the modality of Restaurant and Bar Service.
Elsa Delgado was a gold medalist in the Balearskills and in the Spainskills 2022 and during these days prior to the European Championship, she has been preparing for the tests that she will have to perform in Gdansk, along with her tutor, Joan Miquel Marroig. He also has the support of the national coordinator, Antonio Díaz, and the regional coordinator, Nino Recio.
On the other hand, the general director of Vocational Training and Permanent Teacher Training, Rafel Maura, has also contacted the student Kevin Llopis, from the Pasqual Calbó i Caldés High School in Maó (Ciutadella) and his tutor, Juan Carlos Puerto, to encourage him and wish him luck. Llopis is competing in the Electrical Installations modality and won gold medals in the Balearskills and Spainskills 2022. In the World 2022 competition, he got the thirteenth position.
In this Euroskills competition, the skills and competencies of the participants in the execution of the tests will be assessed. Based on the score obtained, the competitors will be awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal.
The purpose of these competitions is to promote, strengthen and disseminate vocational training studies, since they have proven to be an effective way to successfully achieve a job placement in competitive markets and enhance the relationship between schools and companies since they provide a meeting point between students, teachers and companies related to the corresponding productive sector.
This action is financed by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and co-financed by the European Social Fund in the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 (ESF+).
