The Ministry of Culture, through the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA), has decided to grant 12,810,796.13 euros in subsidies for the promotion of cultural diversity dissemination activities carried out by movie theatres.

Of this budget, 12,500,000 euros have been allocated to 217 companies and 310,796.13 euros to 17 non-profit organizations. The 234 applications that have been favourably resolved correspond to 458 movie theatres distributed throughout the country.

Territorial distribution
By autonomous communities, the aid is distributed among 77 movie theaters in Andalusia; 20 in Aragon; 9 in the Canary Islands; 5 in Cantabria; 21 in Castilla-La Mancha; 29 in Castilla y Leon; 72 in Catalonia; 51 in the Community of Madrid; 10 in the Community of Navarra; 55 in the Community of Valencia; 9 in Extremadura; 28 in Galicia; 13 in the Balearic Islands; 4 in La Rioja; 31 in the Basque Country; 7 in the Principality of Asturias; and 17 in the Region of Murcia.
