The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, together with the first authorities and the municipal corporation of the City Council of Palma, attended this morning to the solemn mass celebrated on the occasion of the Fiesta del Estandarte, presided by the bishop of Mallorca, Sebastià Taltavull.

At the end of the mass, President Prohens, with the rest of the retinue, went to the Plaza de Cort, where they listened to La Balanguera and performed La Colcada, by Miquela Lladó and the children of the School of Music and Dances of Mallorca. Then, the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez, delivered his institutional speech.

Finally, in the session room of the City Hall of Palma, the agreement of the Plenary Session on the granting of honours and distinctions was read and the gold medals of the city of Palma were awarded.
