A new edition of Fira B! has arrived. The Professional Music and Performing Arts Market of the Balearic Islands 2024 will be held from the 3rd to the 6th of October and from the 6th to the 9th of November in Mallorca. As was the case last year, the music and performing arts programmes will be held in different weeks. Thus, the performing arts programme will be held on 3, 4, 5 and 6 October, and the music programme from 6 to 9 November.

Fira B
The Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB) has opened this year’s call for applications. All artists interested in participating in this ninth edition of Fira B! can register from today until 29 February 2024.
More than 10,500 people attended the concerts of Fira B! Música 2023. Most of the 50 free concerts sold out. Nearly 400 professionals and artists were accredited for the Jornades Professionals: the great showcase for the musical talent of the Balearic Islands.
Llorenç Perelló, director of the IEB, points out that “one of the priority objectives of this directorate is to promote and disseminate abroad all the culture produced in this land, as well as to help the sector”. Moreover, Perelló adds, “disseminating the creation and culture made in these islands is one of the main actions of this house, and Fira B! is a great opportunity”.

Last year’s edition of performing arts was attended by 2,500 people, who enjoyed 27 shows, mainly text theatre pieces, new languages, but also movement, dance, circus, street theatre and visual theatre.
Fira B! is a professional music and performing arts market whose main objective is to showcase the most representative recent creations of artists from the Balearic Islands, as well as to promote exchange networks between music and performing arts professionals, both from the Balearic Islands and from outside the community, both nationally and internationally.
Fira B! was born in 2015 exclusively as a showcase for the performing arts in the Balearic Islands. It was inspired by the Sea Artes (2013) and Sea Music (2014) festivals and the Illescena Fair (2014).
