The Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo García, and the Government Delegate against Gender Violence, Carmen Martínez Perza, want to express once again their absolute condemnation and rejection of this sexist murder and convey all their support to the victim’s family and friends. Both the minister and the delegate ask for all efforts from the institutions, administrations and society as a whole to arrive in time and prevent more deaths.

The Ministry of Equality, through the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, would like to remind that the 016 telephone number, the online consultations through the email 016-online@igualdad.gob.es, the WhatsApp channel at the number 600 000 016 and the online chat, accessible from the website violenciagenero.igualdad.gob.es/, operate 24 hours a day, every day of the week. At 016 you can ask for advice on available resources and the rights of victims of gender violence, as well as legal advice from 8 am to 10 pm every day of the week, with attention in 53 languages and a service adapted to possible situations of disability.

On the other hand, it also reminds that in an emergency situation you can call 112 or the emergency numbers of the National Police (091) and the Civil Guard (062). In case it is not possible to make a call and in a dangerous situation, the ALERTCOPS application can be used, from which an alert signal will be sent to the police with geolocation. These means of assistance can be activated by the victim and also by anyone who knows or suspects a case of gender violence. It is a duty of the whole society.
