Cristina Martínez, new manager of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands

Cristina Martínez

The Board of Trustees of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands Foundation (OSIB), meeting online, has approved the appointment of the new manager of the FOSIB, Cristina Martínez. The appointment follows the resignation of the former manager, Miquel Àngel Parera, on 17th January.

Born in Palma, Cristina Martínez Mateu holds a degree in Protocol from the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid. She joined the Fundación de Baleares para la Música by competitive examination in 1989, the year it was founded. In 2002 she was appointed head of production at the Foundation, a position she has held until now.

The meeting also approved the budget and action plan for 2024.
