Maria Isabel Arnau and Felip Ramis join the Department of Culture and Heritage of the Consell de Mallorca

Arnau is the new insular director of Patrimony and Ramis is the new technical secretary of the Department

Maria Isabel Arnau and Felip Ramis

The vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, has appointed Maria Isabel Arnau Tugores (Sineu, 1976) as the new insular director of Heritage of the Consell de Mallorca. She was councillor for Culture, Tourism and Heritage at Sineu Town Hall between 2011 and 2015.

Maria Isabel Arnau is a technician in Tourism Companies and Activities and a University Specialist in the Organisation of Corporate Events. With more than 25 years of experience in different areas of the tourism sector, she is an official guide with extensive knowledge of the heritage assets of Mallorca and, between 2019 and 2021, she was treasurer of the Official Association of Tourist Guides of the Balearic Islands. In terms of languages, she speaks Italian and English, as well as Catalan and Spanish.

As for the technical secretariat of the Department of Culture and Heritage of the Consell de Mallorca, Roca has appointed Felip Ramis Llabrés (Sencelles, 1967). Felip Ramis Llabrés has a degree in Law, and a master’s degree in Cultural Management and has been a career civil servant since 1991 at the Marratxí Town Hall: he has 27 years of experience in the area of culture.

He has also worked for three years as a technician in the Area of Contracting and, for the last year and a half, as a technician in the areas of education and social services. In addition, the new technical secretary of the Department of Culture and Heritage of the Consell de Mallorca, in his capacity as a qualified career civil servant, has served as secretary of the Board of Directors of the municipal company Marratxí XXI SAU since July 2019.

The vice-president and councillor of Culture and Heritage want to give, with this restructuring, a boost to the Department. She has also thanked the people who are now leaving office for the work they have done.
