The president of the Consell de Mallorca visits Capdepera

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, has visited the municipality of Capdepera, as part of the round of contacts with the 53 villages of Mallorca. First, President Galmés met with the mayor of Capdepera, Mireia Ferrer.

Afterwards, the executive councillor of Economic Promotion and Local Development, Pilar Amate; the insular director of Municipal Support and Coordination, Beatriz Camiña, and the insular director of Local Development, Juan Antonio Esteban, as well as members of the municipal corporation, joined the meeting. In the meeting, issues related to Capdepera, of which the Consell de Mallorca has competencies, have been addressed. The insular institution has announced that it has begun drafting the projects to build the bike lane between Capdepera and Cala Rajada and to reinforce the asphalting of Elionor Servera Street, a stretch of the coastal nucleus of approximately 700 meters that will improve traffic safety. These projects will cost between 170,000 and 200,000 euros.

Visit to the association of elderly people
In the afternoon, the president of the Consell de Mallorca, accompanied by the mayoress of the municipality, visited the association of elderly people of Capdepera, with the presence of the presidents of the associations of the municipality and Cala Rajada and their associates. Entities that offer a wide range of activities to respond to the concerns and preferences of the elderly and promote active ageing and social relations.
