Education opens the deadline to register for the free examination to obtain the baccalaureate diploma

Those who, among other requirements, are at least 20 years of age, may participate in this exam.

The exam will take place on 9, 10 and 11 April 2024 in Palma, Ciutadella and Eivissa.

The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, through the Directorate General for Vocational Training and Educational Organisation, has announced the free examination for 2024 so that people over the age of twenty can directly obtain the title of baccalaureate in the Balearic Islands.

Anyone who can demonstrate the following requirements can take part in this exam:

  • Be at least twenty years old on the day of the first exercise of the test.
  • Be a resident of the Balearic Islands.
  • Have the diploma of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education or equivalent for academic purposes, or the homologation of this diploma.
  • Not own the baccalaureate diploma regulated in article 37 of Organic Law 2/2006, of 3 May, on education, or any other diploma declared equivalent or homologated for all purposes.
  • Not to be enrolled in baccalaureate studies in any of the modalities or regimes.

Registration for the free examination of the ordinary exam must be formalised from 14 to 28 February, both included.

Date and place of the tests

The test will take place on 9, 10 and 11 April 2024, between 15:00 and 21:30, at the following secondary schools: IES Ses Estacions (Palma), IES Maria Àngels Cardona (Ciutadella) and IES Santa Maria d’Eivissa.

The test is held in the following modalities:

  • Arts.
  • Science.
  • Humanities and social sciences.
