The Bombers de Mallorca have participated in a training day, organized by the National Police station in Manacor, aimed at strengthening coordination and collaboration between the different security forces. The emergency service of the Consell de Mallorca has given a talk on urban fires.
This training was aimed at the National Police force of the Manacor police station, but because it is a very beneficial instruction for the operational managers of the security forces, the Civil Guard and the local police of Manacor and nearby municipalities have also been invited. In total about 60 agents have attended.
The insular director of Emergencies, Joan Fornàs, said that “all these types of training actions and other initiatives are very important to improve coordination and collaboration between the different security forces. That the different security forces know how to act during an urban fire is essential to minimize risks”.
The talk given by a technician of the Bombers de Mallorca has focused on the protocol of action in urban fires, specifically in homes. The firefighters have explained their method of action in an urban fire and have emphasized how the police have to act if they arrive before the firefighters to a fire. During the talk they also made an exhibition of the means at their disposal.
For its part, the National Police has made a training on the operational performance of local police in situations involving foreign citizens and optimal coordination with the National Police. The talk was given by the head of the police station and those responsible for the Alien subgroup.
