The Consell de Mallorca organizes a meeting of livestock farmers, farmers and artisans with the Mallorcan start-up Producte d’Aquí to boost the online sale of zero kilometre products. The initiative “Networking: Producto Mallorquín” seeks to establish contact between both sectors to adapt sales to the digital transformation and promote the consumption of Mallorcan products.
The platform of the island institution, Oficina Acelera Pyme Rural, has invited the entrepreneurs of the Producte d’Aquí project to present the operation of its service to local producers. The start-up proposes that the consumer has the opportunity to make a selection of local products available on its website and manage the shipment for the user to receive them.
The councillor, Antoni Fuster, stressed the essential nature of the meeting so that “the raw materials and brands of our land are recognized beyond the local stands and allows producers to know a new option to extend their reach.
For her part, the insular director of Strategic Projects, María Elena Jaume, explained that “the meeting offers information to local producers about the platform as a complement to their business to increase their sales.”
In this way, the participants have been able to have first contact and decide, according to their interests and needs, the collaboration between them to promote the development of the local economic sector.
