On the 6th of April, the Consell Insular de Eivissa is organising the second edition of the Fiesta de Mayores (Senior Citizens’ Party) at the Eivissa fairgrounds. The event will be attended by various organisations such as the Federación Pitiusa de Asociaciones de Mayores, Asociación de Mayores Creix, Cruz Roja Ibiza and the UIB’s Open University for the Elderly, as well as the island’s five town halls.

The Consell de Eivissa is organising the second edition of the Fiesta de Mayores
This festival will begin at 10 am and end at 7:30 pm with a day full of activities for the elderly with several stands and performances throughout the day, as well as a bar service and food trucks. At the same time, there will be a programme featuring country dancing, choral singing, wine tasting, concerts, theatre, pilates and much more.
The councillor for Social Welfare, Carolina Escandell, invited all the island’s elderly to take part in this festival which is growing every year, “we invite all those who want to keep active in this festival which aims to celebrate life and be a meeting point for all the elderly to get to know at first hand everything that is being done and all the possibilities they have, as well as to share all the things they want to do. Carolina Escandell also stressed that it will be a day “with a very intense programme that is aimed at the elderly but is a party for everyone”.
