New RCD Mallorca kit bearing the name of the Balearic Islands
The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, has presented the new RCD Mallorca kit, which will bear the name of the Balearic Islands. Prohens announced this action to promote tourism this Friday in Seville, accompanied by the owner of RCD Mallorca, Andy Kohlberg, and the club’s CEO of Business, Alfonso Díaz. “What better setting than this Estadio La Cartuja and what better day than this final to unveil this kit with which Mallorca will carry the name of the islands, as one of our best ambassadors,” he said.
Prohens pointed out the Government’s commitment to linking tourism, culture and sport, to attract quality tourism beyond the summer months. “Undoubtedly, there is no better team to help us in this objective than RCD Mallorca, as one of the elite of Spanish football and a finalist in the Spanish Cup,” she said.
She recalled the agreement between the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB) and the Mallorca Tourism Foundation of the Consell Insular de Mallorca, worth 1.7 million and one million euros, respectively, between the two institutions to count on RCD Mallorca for the promotion of tourism for two seasons.
Finally, the president wanted to highlight once again “the historic event that we will all experience tomorrow, in which, of course, all the Balearic Islands will be supporting RCD Mallorca in this Cup final”.
