Two flags to cheer R.C.D. Mallorca in the Copa del Rey
The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, accompanied by the councillor of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, has hung two banners on the façade of Carrer Palau Reial as a show of support for R.C.D. Mallorca, tomorrow, 6th April, will play the final of the Copa del Rey (King’s Cup) in Seville. Galmés stated that “the island institution joins the excitement of the team and the fans for this historic event, as it has been 21 years since Mallorca last played in the final of the Copa del Rey”.
With the banners, in red and with the slogan “Cita amb la història. Amunt Mallorca!”, the Consell de Mallorca wants to support the Mallorquinistas who are living with excitement and expectation of a sporting milestone that carries the name of the island around the world. Likewise, the island institution wants to encourage the club to win its second Copa del Rey and to return to the island with the trophy.
