The work of moving the furniture and materials needed to be able to teach classes in Es Centre has been carried out in record time, making it possible for the students of Selva not to miss a single day of classes and providing an immediate solution to the existing problem.
The decision to relocate the students was taken after the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, visited the CEIP Es Putxet school on 25th March. At that time it was possible to observe an area that had been propped up since 2020, where no further intervention had been carried out. Technicians from the Institut Balear d’Infraestructures i Serveis Educatius (IBISEC) carried out an ocular check on 26 March at the centre and ruled that there was no imminent danger. However, the priority of the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats is to guarantee the peace of mind and safety of the entire educational community.
The director general of Educational Planning and Management, Catalina Ginart, visited Es Centre, together with the councillor of Selva, Joan Rotger. Ginart thanked the collaboration of the Town Council, the management team and the families of CEIP Es Putxet for their involvement in the transfer.
It should be remembered that the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, is visiting all the public schools in the Balearic Islands to have an accurate and reliable picture of the state of the schools for the drafting of the Infrastructure Plan 2024/2030, which will be presented very soon.
