Inca renovates and expands the children’s playgrounds

“We are making an important effort to expand Inca’s public spaces and adapt them to the needs and demands of the citizens. To define these actions, aimed especially at improving facilities for the youngest Inquers, we have carried out citizen consultations, meetings with entities and groups, and we have evaluated different proposals from the Children’s Council,” says the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

In addition, Moreno stresses that “the aim is to create new areas for the whole family with games and activities for children of all ages and inclusive proposals that promote integration and others that promote stimulation, as well as spaces with shadows”.

As part of this project, a new playground will be created in Lompoc square (located in front of the Sona Monda Health Centre). In this space, a combined playground with a balance bridge, slide and ramp, among others, will be installed. It is also planned to install a swing, a spring playground equipment accessible for people with reduced mobility and a rocking chair-type children’s playground equipment for 4 people.

On the other hand, in Antoni Fluxà Square and the Balearic Islands Park, some of the playground equipment in poor condition or that has deteriorated over time will be renovated. A playground equipment will also be replaced in the Plaça del Lledoner and a wheelchair-accessible playhouse for early stimulation will be installed. In addition, the safety paving in this area will also be refurbished.

As for Europa Park, the inclusive children’s playground will be renovated and the park will be enlarged with the installation of a train set with a locomotive and two carriages. Here, too, the paving will be extended.

Finally, the physical exercise equipment in the Plaza del Ganado will also be replaced. In this sense, it should be noted that a major renovation will soon begin in this public space in the capital of Raiguer and the play area will also be extended and renovated.
