The President of the Government, Margalida Prohens, attended the commemoration of the 180th anniversary of the founding of the Guardia Civil, which took place at the Palma Command. The event was attended by the colonel in chief of the Civil Guard zone, Alejandro Hernández, and the commander general of the Balearic Islands, Fernando Luis Gracia, along with other authorities of the Islands.

The 180th anniversary of the founding of the Civil Guard

During the ceremony, the troops were reviewed and the founding decrees of the Guardia Civil were read out. In addition, a tribute was paid to those who have fallen in the line of duty, with a wreath laid in front of the Guardia Civil monolith.
