According to the mayor, Víctor Martí, the 21st Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair is more than consolidated and already represents “one of the most significant social events in Mallorca, which highlights the history, culture and heritage of Binissalem”.

For his part, the councillor for Fairs and Festivities, Joan Andreu Sabater Pons, pointed out that the 21st Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair is accompanied by an extensive programme of events that kicks off on Monday the 20th of May and ends on Sunday the 26th. “A series of activities for young and old alike to enjoy with family and friends.

Those attending the 21st Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair will have the chance to visit unique exhibitions at Can Gelabert, at Casa Llorenç Villalonga, a guided tour of the church, children’s entertainment, traditional games, sweet herb workshops, cinema, boat dancing, online dancing and the family Correfoc and children’s Correfoc performances.
In addition, on Sunday there will be a chess festival and several demonstrations of how the stone is treated for different uses, a marés workshop, xeremiers, big-heads and giants. Games for children, vermouth, lunch of noodles with rabbit, theatre and, at the end of the day, a popular dance that will bring the festival programme to a close.
The councillor pointed out that as part of the 21st Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair, a popular consultation will be held to elect the grape harvesters for Es Vermar 2024. “We want it to be the people and their citizens who say, with their vote, how the election of the representatives of Es Vermar should be done”.

Catalina Cortés, councillor for commerce and citizen participation, stressed that the 21st Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair is a great recreational and cultural event, with the participation of almost all the businesses, companies, associations and individuals in the municipality, to guarantee the success of the event.
In addition to the numerous wineries that open the doors of their cellars, the town’s bars and restaurants offer fair menus or special dishes typical of the local gastronomy. Craftsmen, quarry workers, marble workers, stonemasons and stonemasons, among others, are present at the Fair, where they offer public demonstrations of their art and work.
“We are very happy with the response, both in terms of participants and exhibitors at the XXI Binissalem Stone and Crafts Fair, as well as the number of visitors, which is increasing year after year,” Cortés said.
