The island’s institution expresses its pain, condolences and solidarity with all those affected
The Consell de Mallorca has joined the three days of official mourning decreed by the Palma Town Hall, which began at midday this morning and will end on Sunday night, as a sign of mourning for the victims of the collapse of a shop in Platja de Palma yesterday. Thus, the official flags of all the public buildings of the island institution in the city will fly at half-mast during these days.

Consell de Mallorca joins the three days of official mourning declared by the Palma Town Hall
The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, accompanied by the executive and elected councillors of the island institution, joined in the minute’s silence held at noon in the Plaza de Cort, called by the Palma Town Hall. Likewise, all the staff of the Consell de Mallorca were invited to take part in the minute’s silence at the entrance of all the offices of the island institution.
The Consell de Mallorca expresses its sorrow, condolences and solidarity with all those affected by an event that has deeply moved the whole of Mallorcan society. Likewise, it wishes to acknowledge and thank the great work and effort of the public emergency, civil protection and health services, as well as the people and entities that, selflessly, are collaborate in the care of the affected people.
