The Consell de Govern has authorised the Regional Minister of Health to pay 80% of the subsidies granted to the beneficiary organisations of the call for subsidies to carry out activities in the field of consumer affairs for the 2023 and 2024 financial years in advance, without the prior requirement of any guarantee.

The entities will be able to receive 80% of the subsidies

The Regional Ministry of Health plans to call for subsidies for personalised attention and advice for consumers and users in person and by other means (telephone, website, etc.), to process and manage queries, complaints, claims and complaints relating to consumer relations.

They also include the dissemination of the rights and duties of consumers and users, and the most appropriate ways to exercise them, to facilitate the understanding and use of the information to which they are entitled.

These subsidies allow for group information, education and training actions on issues related to the protection and exercise of consumer and user rights, as well as measures to prevent inappropriate consumer behaviour and disseminate values to spread the culture of responsible consumption.

The project aims to promote the development and dissemination of values in order to extend the culture of responsible consumption.

On the other hand, courses, conferences, seminars, seminars, conferences, workshops, informative talks, round tables, exhibitions and similar, as well as the publication of material and publications necessary to disseminate consumer issues of special interest for health, economic, social and other reasons, are also envisaged. Training and advice for consumers and users by consumer associations is also envisaged through the publication of materials and publications and dissemination activities in the media.

Finally, collaboration and dialogue between consumer and user associations and any other government body or entity on matters of general or sectoral interest affecting consumers and users is encouraged.

The maximum amount earmarked for this call is €45,000, charged to the general budget of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands for the financial year 2024.
