The Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats announces grants for nursery schools

This year 494,880 euros will be allocated to the public network of nursery schools and 256,000 euros to the complementary network.

The Conselleria de Educació i Universitats has published today in the Butlletí Oficial de les Illes Balears (Official Bulletin of the Balearic Islands) the call for two lines of aid for nursery schools. For the public network, 494,880 euros will be allocated to first cycle nursery schools. This money will be used, on the one hand, for activities, services and programmes to strengthen the educational capacities of families with children under the age of three, with a total budget of 119,880 euros, and on the other hand, for the operation of early care educational services, with a total of 375,000 euros.

Grants for nursery schools

As for the complementary network of public schools, the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities will provide up to 256,000 euros for the hiring of staff specifically dedicated to caring for severely affected children with special educational needs who require specific support. Schools in the complementary network will also receive grants of 1,500 euros to hire staff or buy school materials for children with special needs.

The deadline for applying for these grants is as follows:

Public network, from 27 May to 10 June.

Complementary network, from 10 to 24 June.
