The Regional Ministry of Families and Social Affairs allocates 1.1 million euros to programmes for people with disabilities, oncological and mental health diseases

The entities must carry out projects between 2024 and 2026 aimed at people with disabilities, oncological, neurodegenerative, rare diseases, Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The Official Bulletin of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) has published a call, with a maximum expenditure of €1,108,000, for grants for non-profit organisations. The call consists of two lines: one for projects in the field of care services, prevention and promotion of personal autonomy aimed at the social integration of people with oncological diseases over the age of 18, people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, people with neurodegenerative diseases and people with rare diseases. This is endowed with 488,000 euros. The other line, for entities that provide care, prevention and promotion of personal autonomy services aimed at the social integration of people with disabilities, is endowed with 620,000 euros.

The entities will have to provide the beneficiaries with the services for the promotion of personal autonomy free of charge and in solidarity.

The aid will be distributed as follows: 554,000 € in 2024, 277,000 € in 2025 and 277,000 € in 2026.

The deadline for applying for the subsidies is fifteen days from the day following publication in the BOIB, which was 25 May.
