The Department of Housing, Territory and Mobility of the Government of the Balearic Islands, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, has resolved the ninth payment of the Bono Alquiler Joven grants, amounting to nearly 200,000 euros, to 244 beneficiaries.
With this new payment of 190,250 euros, whose resolution has been published this Friday and which will be made effective in the coming days, the Govern adds nine resolutions of payment of the Bono Alquiler Joven for a total amount of 6.5 million euros to nearly 1,400 beneficiaries (1,379).

The new payment of this aid, financed with state funds, corresponds to proof of payment of rent for the months of January to April 2024, the first corresponding to this year’s monthly payments. The list can be consulted at the link on the Bono Alquiler Joven website https://www.caib.es/sites/bolloguerjove/ca/resolucions/.
These payments correspond to the Bono Alquiler Joven call for 2022 and 2023, financed by the Government of Spain for these two years and which allows beneficiaries to receive aid of 250 euros per month for a maximum of two years (24 monthly payments) as long as they present the receipts for each four-month period.
For 2024, the Government of the Balearic Islands has already submitted a request to the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Agenda to extend this aid programme for this year since November last year, in one of the proposals put forward by councillor Marta Vidal to the minister Isabel Rodríguez, although the central government has not yet approved a new call for applications for the Bono Alquiler Joven (Youth Rental Voucher).
About rental subsidies, the government is preparing the second payment of the 2023 subsidies, once the first payment of almost 825,000 euros to 355 beneficiaries was resolved on 15 May. This first payment of the 2023 aid was made a week after the last payment of the 2022 line of aid – pending review of possible appeals – was resolved.
This year, priority has been given to resolving the pending 2022 aid, which has meant bringing the payment of this aid forward to May, taking into account the volume of unresolved cases from 2022 and the previous year, given that the 2021 aid was not resolved until the December 2023 payment.
