The Government explains its tourism strategy to the national sector at FITUR
‘FITUR has been a key opportunity to strengthen relations with the tourism sector, consolidate our strategy of sustainability and quality, and share the values that make our islands unique,’ said Jaume Bauzà.
Projection of the islands as a diverse and sustainable destination
Among the most outstanding events, the Government has supported the presentation of innovative proposals such as the Mallorca Live Festival, which positions the culture-tourism binomial as a key economic driver. Likewise, the promotion of local products and culinary tradition shone through with the cocktails offered by the Balearic School of Hotel Management and the showcasing of several prestigious Balearic chefs, which highlighted the authenticity of the Balearic Islands.
The reason is you: a people-centred campaign
FITUR also served as a platform to present the ‘You are the reason’ campaign, which highlights the importance of residents as the cornerstone of all tourism policy. With this message, the Government underlined its commitment to a model that prioritises the well-being of citizens, environmental sustainability and the protection of natural and cultural resources.
The Government’s participation in FITUR 2025 consolidates the Balearic Islands‘ position as an international benchmark in quality and sustainable tourism, intending to build a future that is balanced between economic development, conservation of the islands’ values and the well-being of their people.
