The galleries of the Part Forana once again take centre stage alongside the project “Sístole” by ADEMA, presented in the Aljibe of the cultural centre.
The Consell de Mallorca is once again taking part in Palma’s Nit de l’Art, this year with eight exhibitions and one artistic intervention in the Aljibe of La Misericòrdia. The Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Minister of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, presented on Thursday the full program, which will be open to the public starting Saturday, September 20, at the cultural centre. The exhibitions will remain open Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The presentation was also attended by artists, curators, gallery owners, and other notable individuals. Roca highlighted the importance of this event within Mallorca’s cultural fabric: “La Nit de l’Art returns as a must-see for lovers of contemporary art and culture. This year, at the Consell de Mallorca, we continue to support the galleries of the Part Forana, which enrich the island’s artistic and cultural scene.”
Roca also emphasised the artistic intervention in the Aljibe as the great novelty of this year: “Sístole is a work by Óscar González, curated by Adonay Bermúdez, which transforms the Aljibe of La Misericòrdia into a space that will make the venue beat with its own light.”
Exhibitions at La Misericòrdia
The Aljibe halls will host three exhibitions from the galleries of the Part Forana.
- In the first hall: “The Real Thing” by Charlie Stein, curated by Beatriz Escudero (CCA Andratx).
- In the second hall: “¡UMBURRI, UMBURRI, UMBURRI!” by Erick Beltrán, curated by Mónica Galván and Jaume Reus (Galería Maior).
- In the third hall: “On habiten les formes”, with works by Amador, Broto, and Croft, also curated by Galván and Reus (Galería Maior).
Finally, the Aljibe of the cultural centre will feature the artistic intervention “Sístole” by Óscar González, curated by Adonay Bermúdez, with heritage technical direction by Maties Togores and organised by ADEMA. This installation, available until November 22, invites the public to rediscover the space from a contemporary and sensorial perspective.
Other exhibitions include:
- On the ground floor of the Entrepatios building: “Lapse” by Cati Bestard, curated by Pilar Rubí.
- On the first floor: “Diàleg en silenci” by Maria Genovard, curated by Bárbara Maria Ferrer Genovard.
- On the third floor, in the Arxiu del So i la Imatge room: “En carn pròpia” by Mar Agüera Llinàs, curated by Francesc X. Bonnín.
- In La Misericòrdia’s chapel: “Alfombreras” by Marcos Vidal.
All exhibitions open on Saturday, September 20, and can be visited Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Museu de Mallorca, Teatre Principal, and Palau del Consell
The Palau del Consell de Mallorca and Palma’s Teatre Principal will also participate in Nit de l’Art 2025, as they did last year.
- At the Palau del Consell, at 8 p.m., audiences can enjoy the zarzuela performance “Los grandes éxitos de zarzuela”, featuring Natalia Salom (soprano), Antoni Lliteres (tenor), and Alicia Moreno Valiente (pianist), along with the exhibition of three works from the Consell de Mallorca’s museographic collection.
- At the Teatre Principal, the public can attend the dance performance “Goosebumps” by the company Unaiuna at 9:30 p.m.
Both the Palau and the Teatre will remain open until 11 p.m., when Nit de l’Art 2025 officially concludes.
It is also important to note that Nit de l’Art will mark the closing of Bernardí Roig’s exhibition “Hem arribat a l’infern!” at the Museu de Mallorca. The night of September 20 will be the last opportunity to visit this highly acclaimed exhibition, an overwhelming proposal reflecting on the absence of the Toros de Costitx, and part of the Biennal B program, a joint initiative of the Consell de Mallorca and Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art.
