Cala Millor is set to enhance its sports facilities with the expansion and modernisation of its sports tourism centre, located in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The project represents a total investment of €607,059, of which the Consell of Mallorca, through the Tourist Accommodation Exchange Consortium (CBAT), is contributing €485,647 (80% of the total). The remaining amount is financed by the Sant Llorenç Town Hall with its own funds.
On Friday, the President of the Consell of Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, together with the Councillor for Tourism, José Marcial Rodríguez Díaz, the Mayor of Sant Llorenç, Jaume Soler, and several local councillors, visited the works currently underway.

The main improvements include upgrading the football field lighting system, installing new stands and seating, building a partial roof, creating a storage area, and paving the perimeter of the stands. All the actions are being carried out with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind, aiming to position Cala Millor as a benchmark for sports tourism in Mallorca.
During the visit, Galmés emphasised that this project will “respond to the strong demand for sports tourism in the area and help to extend the tourist season.”
Mayor Jaume Soler pointed out that “this investment is a step forward to consolidate Cala Millor as a top-level sports tourism destination, improving facilities for both athletes and the community as a whole.”
Meanwhile, the Councillor for Tourism, Joan Mestre, stressed: “Sports tourism is key to diversifying the municipality’s tourist offer. With these improvements, we strengthen Cala Millor’s image as a destination committed to quality and innovation.”
