The Inca Town Hall held a new session of its Local Security Board to coordinate the special security plan for the upcoming Inca Fairs and Dijous Bo 2025, one of Mallorca’s most popular traditional events.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Virgilio Moreno, Luis Coarasa (Deputy Secretary of the Spanish Government Delegation), José Luis Moya (ISPIB section chief), councillors Antonia Triguero (Public Safety) and Maritxé Fernández (Fairs and Dijous Bo), Captain José Antonio Luque of the Guardia Civil, Local Police Chief Miquel Llabrés, and other security and municipal representatives.
A coordinated plan was agreed to increase police presence and improve coordination among all security forces. Mayor Moreno stressed that “as every year, we are launching a special operation to ensure safety during these weeks of high attendance. Cooperation among all forces is key to enjoying the Fairs and Dijous Bo in a peaceful atmosphere.”

The plan includes reinforced patrols, a special traffic management system, and additional parking areas near major event locations. A new emergency route will also be available, coinciding with the opening of Carrer de Can Raió.
During the session, both the Guardia Civil and the Local Police reported positive security figures for the first half of 2025. Criminal offences have decreased by more than 2%, with notable declines in property and personal crimes.
The Local Police report also shows a decline in minor infractions and complaints. Moreno highlighted that “the data confirms Inca remains a safe city thanks to ongoing coordination between all forces and our efforts to strengthen resources, staff, and prevention tasks.”
Finally, attendees expressed support for those affected by the recent storms and thanked all emergency and security personnel for their dedicated work in restoring normality.
